AI and Language Mastery in Modern Education (Pre-OSSD)

This course presents an overview of current technology concepts and industry-changing innovations, including digital media literacy, emerging tech-related law, security and privacy, and explores artificial intelligence (AI) in depth. Students also master technology language and develop skills for navigating the online landscape responsibly.

OSSD Foundation (Pre-OSSD)

Pre-OSSD Program – The Ideal First Step for International Students

Before enrolling in Canada’s Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program, international students often need time to adapt to a new academic system, language, and culture. That’s exactly what the Pre-OSSD program at Toronto Imperial School is designed for. Aimed at students aged 12–15 (Grades 6–9), Pre-OSSD equips learners with the essential academic English, life skills, and foundational subject knowledge they need to transition smoothly into the Canadian education system. Through interactive lessons in English, math, science, social studies, and leadership, students build confidence and readiness to succeed in the OSSD program and beyond.

Pre- OSSD Program: who is it for

The Pre-OSSD Program is designed for students aged approximately 12 to 15 who:

  • Are studying in another country and have no prior experience studying in Canada.
  • Need to develop their academic English skills before starting credit-based courses.
  • Plan to earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) but are not yet ready to begin Grades 10–12.
  • Require additional preparation in core subjects such as mathematics, natural sciences, and humanities.
  • Seek a safe and supportive environment to adjust to a new country and build confidence in themselves.

Our experienced teachers provide both in-person and online instruction. Each student receives a personalized learning plan that outlines a clear path toward preparing for the OSSD Program, tailored to their unique abilities and goals.

What is included in the program

The Pre-OSSD program, available both in-person and online, is divided into several key components to ensure students are fully prepared for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma pathway:

  • Intensive English Language Development:
