OSSD Challenges and Triumphs

“Studying at two schools simultaneously was challenging, but it was worth it” Anna Laguta

Meet Anna Laguta!
Anna is a graduate of our OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) program, currently living and studying in Vienna at Modul University.

School Years
«Studying at two schools simultaneously was challenging, but it was worth it,» says Anna. The OSSD program prepared her well for university, especially in essay writing, literature reviews, and MLA formatting.

Helping Fellow Students
During one semester, Anna stepped up as a tutor for her classmates, helping them understand the basics of paraphrasing, summarizing, and academic integrity.

Subjects Studied:

  • English
  • Math
  • Geopolitics
  • Economics
  • Media Studies
  • Business

University Life
Anna was accepted into the Foundation course in Vienna and only needed to complete three subjects instead of four, thanks to her Business course credits from OSSD. Now, she is in her third year of university and has successfully completed six semesters.

Secret to Success
Anna believes the biggest advantage of the OSSD program was the reduced stress during the transition to university, thanks to the thorough preparation it provided. With a Canadian diploma, you’re not only eligible to apply to universities in Canada, but you can also pursue education across Europe.

We are proud of our graduates and wish Anna the best in her academic and career pursuits!
