High School OSSD
Toronto Imperial School’s high school program follows one of the leading international educational standards and, upon completion, bestows the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Our curriculum and instructors fully meet all requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education.
A unique aspect of our program is that it can be offered as a dual diploma, allowing qualified students and academic institutions to offer both their local high school diploma and the OSSD upon graduation.
At the beginning of the program, TIS staff evaluate local school curriculum and develop learning plans for students that address any subjects not included that are necessary to earn the OSSD. Student plans only include the Canadian subjects they require. At the end of each academic year, credits from the local program are transferred to the Canadian program.
Upon completion of the entire program, students receive a Canadian diploma and an official transcript, in addition to the diploma from their local school.
Learning options
At Toronto Imperial School, we offer two learning options for our students: teacher-assisted and self-paced.
Whether you require guidance from teachers or prefer the flexibility of independent learning, our program ensures that every student has the opportunity to succeed on the best path for them and reach their full potential.

The Canadian school program has been a valuable experience for me and has provided me with the opportunity to practically understand and try education abroad. Although the first academic year was a challenge for me, as the program does indeed differ from my school, I acquired many useful and new skills. This course taught me how to formulate thoughts in a structured way, analyze my own work and the behavior of others, such as characters from literary works, and apply teacher feedback to my work.
